1. Frequency of use
If the high-pressure pump runs continuously for a long time every day and is used frequently, the seals will wear out faster due to continuous friction, extrusion, and medium scouring, and usually need to be replaced every 3 to 6 months.
For high-pressure pumps with low frequency of use, such as running a few days a week or a short running time every day, the wear rate of the seals is relatively slow, and the replacement cycle may be extended to 6 to 12 months, or even longer.
2. Working environment
If the working environment is harsh, such as high temperature, high humidity, corrosive media, etc., it will accelerate the aging and corrosion of the seals and shorten their service life. It may take 2 to 4 months to replace them.
A clean, normal temperature working environment will cause less damage to the seals, and the replacement cycle can be appropriately extended to 6 to 10 months.
3. Medium characteristics
When the medium has high viscosity, particulate impurities or chemical corrosiveness, the seal is more likely to be worn or corroded, and generally needs to be replaced every 3-6 months.
When conveying clean, low-viscosity media, the service life of the seal will be relatively long, and it may be replaced every 6-12 months.
4. Seal quality
High-quality seals have good material performance, exquisite workmanship, strong wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and aging resistance, and long service life. They may be replaced every 8-12 months.
General quality seals have poor performance and durability and may need to be replaced every 3-6 months.
